Elle glared at Nicholai, standing up, turning around and laying back down so her back faces him. Pawing the grass in front of her, she continued to whine softly, occasionally looking back at Nicholai to either glare or shoot him more of the puppy dog eyes. Elle didn’t want to train, she didn’t want to be a part of the pack in any way. She knew how to control herself. She wasn’t some natural born, man-slaughterer like they apparently were. Elle stood up from her sulking position, stretching out her legs. She wanted to play still, she couldn’t get it out of her head, she was overly energetic today and she needed to find a way to get it out of her system.
Elle moved around in circles, gazing at Nicholai as he continued to fix up the trap. It wouldn’t work, Zane was strong and believe it or not, he was pretty smart too. Sniffing the meat curiously, she wrinkled her nose. She’d rather it be cooked, well done, sprinkled with some basil and some mashies on the side. Smothered in gravy and butter. Her stomach growled in hungry, demanding more food than just some pieces of fruit everyday.
Elle barked at Nicholai, getting his attention. Hopping from side to side, she growled at him. Moving closer towards him, she latched onto his jeans with her teeth, tugging on it gently and teasingly. Her paws dug into the ground as she continued tugging and tugging.
Nicholai didn’t pay the way Elle was moving much attention, the girl obviously being young enough in both human and wolf form that she would want to play around while he was a little more focussed on doing his self-set task. It wasn’t until she began knawing and tugging at his pants that he turned to look down at her. “Kid, you might want to play, but I am not exactly the best play mate around.”
“See thing is, I never played with any of the pups back in the camp when I was there, and ‘onestly playin’ around is not really something I’ve done and I am a lot bigger than the other pups you play with.” He finished tying the last of his pieces in the tree, waggling his leg slightly in an attempt to detatch the small creature. “So if you want to play, then you either need to suggest somethin’ or go find the other boys.”
Elle cried at his attempt to shake her off, settling down on his feet. Dropping his blue jeans from her mouth, she whimpered again. Nudging her head against his leg, her eyes begging him to just relax. To stop focusing on the trap. She wanted to be played with, he could run with her, or he could wrestle with her. If he wasn’t comfortable in his Lycan form, he could stay in his human form. Either way, she didn’t care. Bowing her head down, she continued to let out her little noises of sadness and neglect. Her tail had ceased it’s wagging, and her blue eyes were focused on looking at her paws.
If she had been in her human form she would most deffinatley be pouting, or even crying in some way. She would have been twisting her blonde hair around her finger as she rocked back and forth on her heels. But she had to act out her normal human reaction in her wolf form, and truthfully it came naturally to her. She was very good at expressing her emotions as a human, and changing into a wolf hadn’t changed that ability much. Now it just took certain people a little but longer to read her, which shouldn’t be hard to begin with, for her eyes are windows to her soul and thoughts and she wears her heart on her sleeve.
